This class has taught the beginning to human services. “know thyself” this term has stuck within me since I took this class. The coursework in this class was easy to understand and open communication help better reflect each individual

Communication Skills

Professional Writing
This class has taught me to develop analytical skills and practice in writing and editing various documents common in contemporary organizations: letter, e-mails, reports, business plans, presentations, and websites. I was taught, it is not what you say but it is how you say it. This assignments in this class were helpful and can be utilize in my career.

Financial Management
This course has taken my attention to a different level of finance. I was able to develop and understand budgeting, compounding interest, and reading business plans. The numbers and calculations that I’ve learn in this course has made be a better finance in my personal life as well.

Social Research Methods
Here I learned to further my social research on my findings by using statistical data, literature, and concepts. The class contained a lot of information but my professor had guided the process step-by-step to make to my first social research methods a successful learning tool.

Professional Development

Marketing for Nonprofit Organizations
This course has taught me to be accomplish in marketing we have to learn to network. Through this class I retain information that I can use for the future when it comes to marketing for nonprofit organizations or any relevant project.

Managing Cultural Diversity
This core course: theoretical and practical approached to the complexities of issues of diversity were examined by reviewing typical values, habits, interactions, and concerns of different cultural groups in the workplace. The course has taught me to identify and practice strategies to overcome barriers and conflict in the workplace.


Human Services Senior Seminar

This capstone course utilized all key Human Services theories, concepts, and methods acquired through the course work. Successful demonstrations of competencies are exhibited in group discussion, and my community project work.
